Default iTunes - Can You Amend Title Data?

Hi,

I’ve started to build up a nice little library on iTunes and am in the process of switching film purchasing to this.

I’ve got one OCD gripe (as someone whose blu-ray, cd and book libraries are A-Z) - and that’s how iTunes sometimes lists series of films. One example is The Godfather series, where one and two are under Godfather, but the third is Mario Puzo’s the Godfather….

Is there a way of changing this? I’ve tried googling, and it looks like there used to be a way of amending the metadata if you were on a computer. But when I follow this on my Macbook, although I can get the data, I can’t seem to amend it.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tony

Nope, it’s alphabetical order only.

I did that years ago on a PC version of iTunes but the changes only registered on that specific computer and not my iPhone or Apple TV.

Hopefully they’ll let us move things around at some point. So easy to implement and being able to curate and make lists is such a big wish of mine (well, once they’ve fixed the window debacle at the end of a file).

I’d love to be able to change the genre on many films. There categorizations not only don’t make sense, franchise are usually split between multiple genres.

I’d love to be able to just make playlists like I can in Apple Music. Our libraries are so big now that it’s insane we can’t customise them like we would a Blu-ray shelf.
