Default 5.1 Analog volume is low

I have a Aquos Blu-ray playing into a Lexicon MC12. I have it connected to the 5.1 audio jacks. I am noticing much lower volume levels when playing Blu-ray disks. The Lexicon levels are calibrated correctly, but I have to turn the Lexicon to 0 DB to get better than average volume. I am playing the disk through the MC12 Logic7 program using the uncompressed 5.1 tracks. Sounds good but wondering why the loss of volume.

Ideas?

adjust the sharp bd20 speaker settings (pg. 38 user manual)

L/R = Small
CR/RS/LS = Small
SW = Yes

Selectable Output Range = distance of speaker
Selectable Output Level Range = +/- dB (this will increase or decrease volume of speakers)
