Retail Shipping changes/policy during strike

GRUV Entertainment CA has increased shipping from $4 to $10 on ebay, Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy. Not sure if pick-ups are allowed.

How will my order be affected by the Canada Post strike commencing November 15, 2024?

Please note that, due to the Canada Post strike commencing November 15, we will be shipping via Purolator at this time to ensure orders are processed and delivered as normal. Shipping rates will be temporarily as follows via Purolator: $9.99 for one item and $14.99 for two or more items.

“We ship all packages via Australia Post, and packages are handed over to the local post services upon arriving in their destination country. Unfortunately we do not have control over the logistics of parcels once they are dispatched.”

I talked to 4 agents at Via Vision and they didn’t understand. I either want them to delay shipping or send by other methods. This is the first time I’ve used them. My order is still in “Processing” status. I’m thinking that Australia Post will give a tracking number which will transfer over to a Canada Post Tracking number once it arrives in Canada. I’m concerned Canada Post will be putting all backlogged packages into unsecured and cramped warehouse storage until workers can deal with them, but not sure.

Their FAQ says:

My order has shipped, where is the tracking?

You should receive an automated email from Australia Post with tracking information when your order ships. Please check your junk mail if your Via Vision account reads Order Shipped, but you have not received this email.

Them at Canada Post is so crafty of having a strike at the most busiest time of the year, as the strike would need to be resolved soon as knowing the Christmas season is among us and they will get their extra pay. They don't think about all the people and businesses that they hurt during this busiest season as long as they get what they want, they are the biggest humbugs especially doing a strike at this time when it's the busiest for sending packages and Cards. What about the Children that are waiting for presents in the mail from their Grandparents and others, the needs to be resolved soon as a lot of unhappy Canadians will refuse to send anything through Canada post ever again.

In case you are wondering about UK royal mail:

Canada Post has been on strike since the morning of Friday, 15th November. The duration of the industrial action is unknown at this stage. Items will experience delays for delivery.

At this time, Royal Mail is continuing to despatch to Canada. All customers need to be aware that all items are subject to significant delays.

If you are expecting a delivery from Amazon Canada dont assume they will will send a email or even knock on the door after they put it on the front porch.

This must have just changed. I placed two orders with them last week and they were delivered yesterday, thankfully.
