Initially, just Umbrella but they do release standard versions alongside the big box editions.

Considering I found out there are Jugger leagues where fans play (which boggles the mind considering how it was trapped in SD hell for ages), I would expect this to sell quite well.

My childhood favourite, and my most wanted film on BD/UHD. Holy crap, I can't believe this one's happening. They did all the other cult properties starring Hauer, but not this one. Even The Hitcher came. But not the Juggers. The way this makes me feel is probably the way Joel feels about Kickboxer. If I had a garage gym, it'd feature a wall of Juggers. I'm sure this film will find a new audience, too. It's like Rollerball's wasteland pitbull cousin. The soundtrack, script and acting are way above budget, by the way.

Definitely getting this. I still have the Optimum Home Entertainment dvd from 2007 only because it was the most uncut version of the film you could find at the time. So, hopefully this new release doesn't give us whatever cut down versions that the other world markets have been offering us for all this time.

It's a great film, I also got it cheap from Vudu and it upgraded a little while ago to HDX 16x9. So I was thinking something was going to happen with home media soon...

Havent watched the stream, but Vudu also shows it free with ads a lot of the time, feel free to check it out, its one of Rutger's best roles hands down. It's a violent, sexy, post apocalyptic sports film, whats not to love?

That's how Umbrella initially announced their UHD release of Hardware.

Any news about the documentary? https://www.youtube.com/supported_br...tube.com/watch , one part of the documentary was trying to find and restore the film. I wonder did that project have anything to do with this Umbrella release. Kudos for Umbrella anyway I did request them to do this after they released full uncut version of Dead-End Drive-In.

This was recently remastered by Lionsgate and been making the rounds at US digital storefronts. It's not only a brand new scan but is of the "Juggler" cut and not the shorter "Blood of Heroes" version.

I assume that Lionsgate does not have distro rights in Australia and that Umbrella are doing their own 4k HDR from materials LG unearthed.
