Default Is the "RED" tab necessary at HighDefDigest?

Now that the format war is over it would seem necessary for the purple websites to update their pages and remove any acknowledgement of HD DVD.

What do you guys think? Is a little downsizing in order?

Why? There are still players and movies available. Id say remove it probably over the summer.

Are the HD DVD software and player sections over at AVSfud still necessary? same boat, due to bitterness, we'll probably see these things stick around well into summer.

The reviews for the discs are just as valid today as they were yesterday, or last month, and there are still discs on the shelves. They didn't just evaporate.

Agreed.. especially despite it pains me to say it at AVS.. some people will still keep they're HD-DVD players for a long while yet and as such they'll need somewhere to go that they can ask for help with Technical problems etc, Avs is Video science forum so it stands to reason it should stand over there at least. Although I would'nt mind them making it a sub forum below Blu-ray though..

Are you not happy with your own forum here or is this a we must take over the internet kind of thing?

Exactly. There's no point in removing it entirely, since the information there (reviews mostly) is still relevant and valid. Come June, when there are NO HD-DVD releases, it could simply go into an archive-like status. Even still, there could be news and info for bargain hunters looking for places to load up on HD-DVD's.
