Does anyone believe that Criterion will ever rerelease this in a 4K edition? Or, is this German UHD our best bet in the near term, meaning the next 2-3 years?

It’s practically guaranteed that Plaion, who use LSP, will have the stronger encode. If you have the Criterion BD, keeping that and going with the Plaion for video feels logical to me.

So OrbitDVD, Diabolik, etc., won't have this one?

David Hewlett, LOL! Methinks Plaion is a bit confused.

Oh, I love that cover. I actually like Scanners II quite a bit. I didn't care for the third one, but I've been meaning to give it another shot.

That cover is so uninspired and lazy
Hopefully there's a more definitive color grade for UHD, we'll see what happens in other territories and what Cronenberg signs off on.
