You're gonna call me crazy, but this film is underrated nowadays. Many see its 9 Oscars wins as head-scratching because it's an old-fashioned romantic epic. But it's just so beautifully shot, well crafted, and unapologetically adult.

My bilingual Canadian DVD can rest in peace.

At the rate things are going at with these rumors and announcements, I think we're going to have all the 70's, 80's, and 90's Best Picture Winners out on 4K UHD by the end of 2026.

They were there as part of the press tour for their new film, the Return. If the scoop is correct, they may have banked stuff for the future, but in all likelihood it was just to do the closet video for the promo.

I think most of us like the film, it has glorious John Seale cinematography.
