Well, I was gonna pick up the VinSyn release, but now that 88 is putting it out separately with vastly superior cover art and more extras, I’ll be getting theirs instead. Can’t wait to retire my ancient ratty old non-anamorphic HK DVD!

Nice. Hopefully Her Vengeance will also be announced soon since that's another VS title. That said, I'm curious how things will work with VS and 88 if they do release it (I don't see this being a a Eureka title). There's no totally uncut version, although you could make a hybrid edit from the original LD/VHS (uncut but missing one sequence) and the original VCD (cut but the missing sequence is here and seems to be uncut). Bonus points if one or both can secure the alternate ending used for the mainland China TV screening (!).

Re. Nepal: I like the sexy cover art, but I don't remember Emily Chu ever getting nekkid (in that film or any other).

Re. Vengeance: I'm sure those responsible know about the alternate cuts and what needs to be done. You can always rely on these guys to do their best to present the most complete version.

It's the moment Chow Yun-Fat first falls for her. The house explodes (so do her clothes) and she's stood in the rain. Smoochy time follows...

Thanks for the lovely words in general about this piece folks!

This has already been posted in the 88 thread. Her Vengeance and Devils Fetus were both confirmed by 88 in comments after this Witch From Nepal announcement.

OldPangYau is working on both HV and DF and has said that Her Vengeance will have both Cat IIb and Cat III versions included.

I don't know any of these films. Do WITCH FROM NEPAL, HER VENGEANCE or DEVIL'S FETUS contain any scenes that could be cut in the UK (animal cruelty or other)?

If this movie is in the same ballpark of crazy that The Seventh Curse was, I'm definitely in for it.

Someone above you already basically said the answer to one of them:

Oh yeah, I never doubted that. I was just talking out loud. I'm glad that they're apparently going to have both cuts in full HD. (I didn't mind HVvED at all but obviously it wasn't ideal.) I hope they can include that alternate ending, if only for laughs. It's pretty funny. (No spoilers but, well, I guess one can kinda guess what happens whenever we're talking about alternate endings for the mainland.) I guess we'll see.

there's a very visible prevalence of crossposting and other forms of duplication of information around these forums in the last year or two - it's very confusing. there's no way to consistently maintain an awareness, or to contribute to others awareness, if things may (or may not) have appeared in various places it's somehow become applicable to.

If there's no thread for it, I'll always post the info in the dedicated supplier thread.

that's the thing. i can see confusion about 'her vengeance' already, because it's in the dedicated supplier thread (as you put it) as a known title announcement, but it's also being discussed in a dedicated thread. if the info in the cuts being represented on the release is in one place or the other, or both, it's hard to keep track and makes work.

Okie dokie

I can’t say I agree with you, but if that’s how you feel then I hope it’s not too confusing or too much hard work for you.

All the info is in the relevant thread or the supplier thread; or both. I always cross post to save any confusion. I certainly don’t think it creates work.

What gets confusing is when people ask about different releases in the incorrect thread and things get off topic. A quick sign post to where the info is, is all it takes (in my opinion of course).
