Default Saturn Tribute

City Connection has another bundle on the way, Steam Hearts and Advanced Variable Geo will be available May 29th. Both will get physical copies on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, at least in Japan. Digital versions are listed for Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam, the digital versions will be released as individual titles. No word on English or other international languages being supported.

Not sure how many here played either of these. Advanced V.G. had a few entries on SFC/PCE/Saturn/PS1, it's an ok fighting game but nowhere near as refined as what Capcom and SNK were making at the time. Steam Hearts is kind of a basic shooter with visual novel style images between levels where you

Lots of physical preorder options at the official site:

Default Farland Saga I & II Saturn Tribute

Farland Saga I & II Saturn Tribute, another classic collection from City Connection.

Physical for Switch & PS5, digital for Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Steam. Just like the previous collection, the digital games will be sold individually and the physical will include both in one package. Never played these, and since there is no word on international languages I probably never will. Hopefully it gets picked up and translated; the Steam pages only list Japanese and have "not supported" for English...

Available June 26. Preorders are available now for physical at the link below (Japan-only), Steam wishlist is live and has a notice that

These two have been canceled for Xbox, devs were asked to make too many changes to “provocative content.”

Yeah, Im sure there are loads of modern 10 year olds ready to pounce on a rerelease of Variable Geo. They cant wait! Probably 99% of the people who buy it are going to be in the 30s to 40s age group.

It just seems weird, the game is definitely censored for consoles but still not coming to Xbox, and it looks like Gal Guardians 2 is probably canceled not delayed on Xbox. Guess Microsoft cant handle anime girls, yet Cyberpunk has full frontal and it was allowed on Xbox uncensored. I think similar representation in The Witcher and Baldurs Gate III.

I just remembered something about Variable Geo that might explain the request for changes. I believe in one of the games they introduced a younger character…because Japan just has to Japan. Even if that character is only adjacent to and not involved with what they say happens to the other kosher aged characters in these games, that would quite understandably cause an issue.

Actually, looking at the video in this thread, it think that character is present here. (In drunk Orson Welles voice - “Mwahahhhhh Japan!”)
