I'm sure a lot of people would but again no subtitles. It's 2025 and we have laws about accessibility.

They still have time to fix it.

No subtitles is bonkers, to be honest I would have otherwise just assumed they would be included as standard practice.
Still tempted to get this to replace my old DVD. Kind of strange to go with cartoon characters for the original and then a photo in the sequel. Could have kept them more consistent?

I haven't see Gettin square for ages but David Wenham as a junkie, fronting a tribunal just to complain about his bus fair lives rent free in my mind. Im in!

It's pathetic. Obviously the timing on the DVD subtitles would be wrong but I'm sure they could fix it if they could be bothered.

Companies need to be held to account for this kind of BS.

Just checked the links again, looks like Gettin' Square is getting English HOH subtitles now. Still nothing for Spit, however. Nevermind, both have been updated!

“You’re trying to verbal me, putting words in my mouth!”

Link below is just a small snippet of the best of Johnny Spiteri, in court, asking for (among other things), his bus fare. Even funnier/cleverly done, in the context of the film.

Classic, genuine, laugh out loud Aussie crime dramedy. I’ve spent a bit of time in Aussie courthouses… As a Social Worker: And I can attest to the accuracy of the language and mannerisms used. Gettin’ Square’s screenplay was written by a GC criminal attorney, so he knew the subject matter very well.

After Blue Murder (the 2 Part Mini-Series based around the Sydney Police Corruption of the ‘80’s), and Two Hands, this is my favourite Aussie crime film.

David Wenham’s portrayal of Johnny Spiteri, as a typical Aussie junkie, is as Oscar worthy as Dustin Hoffman’s performance in Rain Man, which I can also profess is absolutely legit (worked even more years in the intellectual disability field).

Definitely snapping both of these films up. Only critique, it’s a shame that Umbrella didn’t release a UHD Blu-Ray.
