I think there are 7 books in the series right now, with plans for 3 more in the near future.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this. The books are great and it looks to capture the same vibe. Seeing Sanctuary Moon is a plus.

Seeing John Cho in the show as the star of the melodramatic "show within a show" is even more of a plus. I wonder if he's going to be recurring or if he was only in it for the one clip.

For me it (like most Apple + stuff) will start out great.

Then towards the end it becomes a steaming pile of shite.

The books all feel kinda same-y to me so I fell off them, but I think they could make for a pretty good show.

Although Skarsgard is not even close to how I imagined Murderbot lol. I know they are kind of androgynous but I always pictured a more feminine body for whatever reason, but I might have missed a key description in the book

I haven't read the books, but I watched the first 4 episodes and it's okay. What I really don't like, and the reason why I'm just going to wait until the season is over and binge the remaining 6 episodes, is that most of the episodes, minus the opening and closing credits is just like about 15 freakin' minutes long! So this 10 episode season is really more like 3 less than an hour long episodes! It's essentially like each episode is just one scene from a full episode, and that's really frustrating. As soon as it starts, it's over.

I don't mind the run times. That's what got me through Twisted Metal season 1. What I have issue with is that it seems so far (only three episodes in) is that they're doing the final scene/shot of every episode has to be a small cliffhanger.

Welcome to Netflix/Streaming 101. Everything must end on a ciffhanger to keep people watching! Thing is, that was ok when it was a dump of a bunch of episodes for binging. Week to week it gets tiring.

Excellent! My brother had been hounding me to watch it and after I binged it happy to say it turned out great.
