Nice! Unlike the Japanese blu-ray, hopefully this will presumably have English subtitles for the film's limited dialogue.

I mean, it's being released in Australia so there's no chance it won't.

Does this have anything to do with the film "In the Aftermath"?

The last time I watched this was on a bootleg DVD nearly 25 years ago. I always thought it was extremely niche (the only reason I sought it out was because I was such a huge Oshii and Amano fan back then). I must have watched it 3 or 4 times; it's very good for what it is. It's great to see that years later, it has become a big enough title to get a 4K release. I wonder who's going to release this in North America?

In The Aftermath is a loose live action "adaptation" of Angel's Egg with portions of footage pulled directly from it. None of the new material has anything to do with the original production or Mamoru Oshii though. That said, Angel's Egg is wonderful and highly recommended!

Shopping at Umbrella always makes me feel like I'm signing my life away because of the prices but they're worth it. Their Collector's Editions are gorgeous. I just dropped $195 on 3 releases. I used a 15% off code which took off $29 and used Pay In 4 so the hit wasn't too bad, plus shipping was free. This is on top of the $182 I spent last month lol.

Code CAM15 will get you 15% off, still works! I just placed an order and it was $68 with shipping. Not bad at all!

that's it, wow how dissapointing I was expecting a massive IMPRINT style box set, man f*ck Umbrella Entertainment, expensive box sets that are so tiny.

All that hype for a set the size of a bluray, fanboys: ''yeah but it's thicker''!
I don't give a sh*t I want massive box sets or it's a no go

I'm getting so fatigued with these ridiculous sized boxsets. I personally am glad to see some restraint...

restraint is all Umbrella has, they are all small sizes.
It's much rarer to see massive box sets, I'm getting fatigued by those small size sets, especially when we pay alot for them.

Imprint has released what 425 editions and they are all regular sized, only 4 of them are big box sets, The Neverending Story, Dune Sandbox, The Keep, and Lifeforce
