Dragon Quest 1 was certainly a simple RPG, but nothin' wrong with giving it a nice graphical makeover. Been forever since I played 2.

I'm glad there's a thread. I played the part 3 remake but there was no thread here so I had to put all my updates in the Switch and PS4 threads. I'm looking forward to it. I'm hoping there's another collector's edition, I go the collector's edition for part 3.

I watched a video of a YouTuber who claimed to have played 30 min. of both DQI & II. According to him, they are making some major changes to DQI's gameplay, the big one being multiple enemies instead of just 1v1 encounters, and potentially adding party members as well. The world, while bigger, is supposed to be more gated off as well. Not a fan of the changes necessarily since I really appreciate the simplicity and old-school exploration of the original NES game, but at least they are bringing over it and DQII to match DQIII in this new style.
