Given it’s $80 the whole game better be in the cartridge.

I watched the presentation yesterday.
Now I'm really hyped. Goomba as a playable character, that's a dream come true. And the music seems to be even better than in Mario Kart 8.

Everything for the game at the time of release will be on the cartridge. That being said, it seems a good bet there will be DLC packs down the road, as with MK8 Deluxe. Obviously that content wouldn't be on the launch physical version.

However, Nintendo does have a habit releasing revised cartridge versions down the road, which often do include any patches and often additional content. For example, there are revised cartridge versions of Super Mario Odyssey with all patches on cart, as well as cartridges of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Breath of the Wild that DO have all the content (including all DLC) on the cartridge.

What is the recommended controller for this game? The wheel or the pro?

I’d recommend the Pro controller if you want to be extra competitive. It might be fun to use the wheel, but I doubt it’s as precise as using a more ergonomic control scheme.

It's a Mario Kart game so it's not too hard to come to a conclusion. I'll be using the GCN Wireless Controller (it has HD Rumble, just like the Pro NS2 controller).

Does the GCN controller have analog triggers or are they digital like the Switch Pro controllers?

Analog.

Expensive compared to previous generations, but it's wireless, has HD Rumble, USB-C, left shoulder button, NFC, and whatever. This will be my Switch 2 Pro Controller.

Edit: It has no extra back buttons which to me is a good thing as I don't care about it.

Mario Kart World will feature over 200 music tracks for the jukebox (music for Free Roam) including brand-new arrangements and live recordings.

Same Q&A

Quote:
The game's development started in March 2017 as a Switch 1 game, and was moved to the Switch 2 sometime after 2020.

The dev team was struggling to get the game working on the Switch 1 with the features, graphics, and frame rate they wanted.

Sounds like development started in full after ARMS finished up its updates in late 2017.

But you won't have L3, which is used to reset challenges.

I've got three Switch Pro controllers lying around so I'm not picking up the new one. But I was very happy to preorder a GCN controller and I have a feeling I'll be using it a lot as the standard controller for most games. Looking forward to seeing how it feels playing MKW with one.

Looks like the team at inXile won’t be working on Clockwork Revolution for a few days. Ngl, if I had a preorder I would’ve taken the 5 & 6th off for MKW (although I am taking an early lunch to line up at Costco).

I wonder if Xbox will congratulate Nintendo on the Switch 2 launch at their show this weekend?
