Question Deciding between UBP-X700/UBP-X700M/UBP-X800/UBP-X800M2 for a budget 4K 3D player

I want to get a 4K player to finally play the 4K versions of my movies, most of the reviews I have read of recommended players are way too expensive, $400-2000+. The UBP-X700/800 seems to be a decent budget one (especially if I can get it used on eBay) but it's not clear what the difference between them is. I did try to Google it, but I get inconsistent answers.

Apparently the only difference between the UBP-X700 and UBP-X700M is that the M is region-free? Is that true? I am guessing they didn't release a firmware update to the original 700 to make it region free? Are there any other differences?

Even more confusing to me are the differences between the X700 and X800. Some of the comments I read said that the X800 LACKS Dolby Vision (I don't have that, not sure if I will someday) and is a cheaper model? Others said that it actually adds SACD support and has better build quality? And then there is the X800 vs the X800M2 which I have NO idea what the difference is.

Can someone help? I have a Samsung SAUN40JU7100 TV which supports 4K, 120hz, and 3D and I do actually have a few dozen 3D Blu-Rays on top of my many 4K and 1080p Blu-Rays so I just wanted something affordable that will play all of those. Would it be a bad idea to get a used one on eBay as long as I make sure it comes with the remote and AC adapter?
