Japan got what looks like a BDR/bootleg release in 2023 and is decribed as "complete" and "175mins". I hope that's what we're getting. Rarewaves £22.31 https://www.rarewaves.com/products/0...ve-from-prague
HMV are taking the piss at £29.99. A quick Google shows that as the most expensive price anywhere in Europe. |

Like Pink Floyd Pompei - another really expensive £25+ 1080p Blu-Ray for the price of a 4K.
Films are released on 1080p Blu-Ray in the UK on average around £14.99 - the Pink Floyd was double that, and this one is aiming for £25+ |

I think Waters finally has inserted his head so far up his own butt that could be a real-life Scarfe drawing. I've had enough of his lunatic politics and rantings, his voice is crap, and just tours every 5-10 years to play the same old 40+ year old songs because he hasn't done anything nearly as good as them since. I'm good listening to these in much better versions on Us + Them or The Wall Blu Rays. I'm not giving this dinosaur any more of my money.
I find it kind of weird the Czech Republic has a place called the O2 Arena as well. Couldn't think of anything more original (yes I know it's the same company naming rights but still)? When I saw O2 I just assumed it was London. Maybe his hometown crowd didn't give him the kind of reaction he wanted? Last edited by barrese; 06-10-2025 at 01:13 PM. |

He's Roger. His shows are totally ****ing amazing. As for the tribute band (when he left them) Pink Floyd they were just boring and not one decent song has been released. I liked everyone in the band and appreciate them but no Roger = no good tunes. I've followed his music my entire life. He's annoying as hell but he's just being Roger. Infamy infamy, they've all got it in for me! ![]() |

Roger has always been a bit of a hero/heretic to me - his recent ramblings, especially that Piers Morgan show appearance even had me watching through my fingers.
His live shows are very good though, and have to agree that since Pink Floyd continued without him they had nothing to say and no real drive or music to deliver, just beige sounding Gilmour solo works and a big old live lightshow |

If this release gets low enough, like his other Blu Rays have gotten, I may pick it up. Unlike the PF releases, the RW ones actually seem to attain reasonable prices at some point. But that's just my humble opinion. |

Roger's a great poet, but the secret sauce post-Syd was always in the complimentary combination of his grit and lyrical vision coupled with David and Richard's sensitive and melancholic musical sensibilities. All due respect to Nick, who's a brilliant drummer!
I've seen old Rog live and he's a great showman, but seeing Nick perform live at 80 and David at 78 last year, I was far more entertained and moved by their respective shows and performances. While post-Waters Floyd never had the same edge, there's still some high points. High Hopes is one of the best Floyd songs, imo ![]() Like others, I might look into this at a cheaper price point. As for Pompeii, a legendary concert film restored in HD when the negative was thought to be lost... no problem paying a bit extra for that (wish it was 4K but it's no deal breaker) especially with both cuts included. |

I'm still waiting for Roger Waters - In the Flesh on Blu. My old DVD is looking pretty tired these days.
I know it was shot in HD. Whether that would be 1080i or 1080p is unknown. Last edited by jdryyz; 06-11-2025 at 05:36 PM. |

Just listen to The Wall or Wish You Were Here and then go listen to the stuff Waters wasn't invloved in. I have tried very hard to give the tribute act respect (I buy most of their separate stuff) for their tribute PF stuff but it's all weak and samey. Didn't one of their boxsets have flashing red LEDs? Huh. I did return to it in the last few years as I had FLACs but it's all breathtakingly bland. There's no anger or passion. All Roger's post PF albums are great to me and he's always got something to grind his teeth over. All the great PF stuff is Roger being angry about something. Anything. His problem now really is just nobody really wants to talk to him except crazy people who will let him talk out his arse for hours or the odd TV news channel that's trying trap him. If you're a multi-millionaire you can get away with all sorts of stuff as we've seen with Morrissey's, Van Morrison's and Eric Clapton's horrible rants during COVID. Their great music helps people forgive them. |

![]() [Show spoiler] Personally I'd put High Hopes above anything Waters did post floyd, absolutely gorgeous track up there with their best work. Amused to Death is a really good record but all his other solo stuff doesn't come close imo. Fwiw my favourite Floyd album is Animals followed by Wish You Were Here & Dark Side of the Moon. |

Honestly my view is by the time he left Floyd all of them were past their best anyway even if they'd been able to work together into the mid 80's I suspect the end result would not have been up to their 70's work. I actually think the last really strong creative burst they had was back in 1974 coming up with Shine On, Dogs and Sheep. Politics wise Water's does strike me as a bit of an egotist who's made some questionable statements but honestly he does stand out as someone in the entertainment industry who is willing to put his neck on the line and call out events in the middle east, not many big names have. |
