Not sure why you are putting so much effort into curating a list that’ll need daily updating when you can just search this site’s comprehensive worldwide database at any time. Even narrow down results to only 4K discs with English audio and/or subs.

I disagree. It took me a long time to find out that were sauerkraut westerns (Winnetou 1-3) and Alberto Sordi comedies on 4K (Fumo di Londra) with English subtitles. For one thing, I found the repeated replica titles when doing international searches infuriating. It took me ages to go through all international titles for that reason alone.

And btw I have all the titles already lined up (right up to and including Harvey). Just need to do the lists.

Ok, it just seems like a monumental waste of time considering this site already has a searchable database. If I look up “Fumo di Londra” like you suggested it says it has English subs. So I’m not sure exactly who this list is for, and I expect that you’ll stop updating it as time goes on and it becomes unmanageable, when again you could just use the site’s database search to find what you want.

No one who has ever started a list, even with good intentions, has ever kept it up to date here.

It's only about 300 titles. And I collect these things.

I think this will introduce some 4K titles to a lot of users. If someone loves "Army of Shadows" for example, do they know that the French 4K has English subtitles when most of those titles do not?

I doubt it.

And if lists being abandoned is reason enough to never start one in the first place, why do we have bookmarked lists?

The bookmarked lists can be helpful for things that might not be so easily searchable. Like say a sub genre or something (Italian Gialli, for instance). But just a generic list with no focus that only shows a specific language option doesn’t really seem necessary when the database can spit out the same list at anytime (with any additional parameters you want) and it’ll always be up to date, down to the minute.

I spent an hour going through all the Studio Canal titles (same region but some English and some French) to find out if any of the French 4K exclusives had English subtitles. I personally know people in my life that use this website and never knew that Army of Shadows (to use that example again) was available with English subs.
