I was thinking about this today . . .
Who would you say portrays some of the best douchebags? Somebody who makes you say, "Man, what a douchebag . . . but I love it!" Jason Isaacs is pretty good in The Patriot and the Harry Potter films. I figure this thread may pique my interest in some films I haven't seen ![]() Last edited by BStecke; 02-22-2008 at 04:46 PM. |

I'll +1 Jason Isaacs. Not in person--he's fabulous. And he was a nice guy in The Tuxedo. But he is a jerk in many movies... good villain all-around.
James Gandolfini is a douchebag in Sopranos and Crimson Tide. He was also pretty mean in The Mexican, until he revealed his softer side (lame). Billy Bob Thornton is a douchebag in Tombstone, Love Actually, Pushing Tin, and many more. That's all I can think of right now... but there will be more. |

![]() I mean the replacement senators from the first battlestar galatica movie I think it came out in 1980's, particully when the senators though surrending to the cylons after the cylons wiped there planets clean was a good idea. Others was in the same movie the president of the 12 colonys, who said that "the cylons have sued for peace.." followed afterwards, There is a Large cylon fleet handing our way, Baltar: oh its just a welcoming committee, later the presdent says.. "Baltar ... where is baltar" as the ship explodes in a fiery explosion as Baltar is long gone ready to cash in on his betrayal. |

Mark Wahlberg in "Fear":
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116287/ He did such a good job of playing such a vile character, I hated his guts on a personal level by the end of the film. Now that's acting. |

Hah, when I clicked on this post initially I thought it meant douchebag actors in real life. I was getting prepared to unleash the wrath on Tom Cruise and Sean Penn
![]() Anyway, now that I know the actual point of the thread. As of late, Chris Cooper has really impressed me as a dark demented d-bag character. He was perfect in American Beauty and Breach. Bill Moseley in The Devils Rejects was also a brilliant. Robert Patrick also plays consistently good d-bags. However, my biggest d-bag of ALL TIME in ANY MOVIE EVER goes to Kathy Bates in Misery. She earned every ounce of that Oscar. |
