what would be a good ps3 game for me - Blu-ray Forum

I just got the PS3 this would be my first playstation - and I would like some recommendations on games - I am well in my 50's - would the NBA or football or golf game be good? also I want the games in Hi Def. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The best game out for PS3 is Resistance: Fall of Man. It is a First person shooting game set in an alternate 1951 where all of europe has been taken over by aliens. Hours of fun! For sports games pick up NBA 2K7, don't confuse it with NBA 07' which is sub-par. Madden 07' is pretty nice, NHL 07' got great reviews also if you're into hockey.

I've spent more time on the Motorstorm demo than anything. Simply the best racer I've ever played. Freaking awesome

Resistance is great as well, though I found the first level a bit bland but after that it picks up nicely. Still haven't played online yet.

It got a very high rating though from review sites (gamespot, gamespy/IGN, famitsu, etc.) even though it looks like blurry s**t on 1080i-only sets.

What I would recommend though is Ridge Racer 7 and don't let the "Riiiiiidge Racccccceeerrr" thing fool you (although that quote was funny XD)

That game is a neat racing game. Better than that PGR crapfest game on the rival console. Heck, Forza should've killed PGR already because PGR 3 sucks like hell.

What's more, Ridge Racer 7 supports multiple resolutions (480p, 720p, 1080i/p) so ALL TVs will display the game correctly.

And that's a fact

F1 looks absolutely amazing. Motorstorm is definitely a must buy. I believe if you have your ps3 hooked up to the internets you can download the ps3 motorstorm demo.
