Post How I Met Your Mother

I think this show should get all individual season released on blu ray at least because right now all yo can get is them on dvd and only season 4 comes on blu ray which is really annoying and kind of confusing for such a popular show.

Fox used to either not release stuff on BD or would drop the format all the time so it's not all that confusing. It likely wouldn't be individual seasons, it'd be a complete series... and a complete series is iffy. Sony barely does any shows on disc so unless they talk Disney into licensing more of their shows out and somebody like Mill Creek did it, it probably won't happen.

20th released Season 4 on Blu-ray, it did not sell well enough to justify releasing future seasons. The complete deluxe set was DVD only and also did not sell well so a lower priced budget set was released. The individual season DVD sets and S4 Blu-ray are out of print and Disney did not include them in the Mill Creek reprint deal.

Fox just stopped releasing TV shows on Blu-ray & went DVD only (sometimes halfway through a shows run). How I Met Your Mother is my favourite US sit-com & I’m just nearing the end of yet another rewatch (just about to start on season 7). In the UK, secondhand DVD box sets can be bought really cheaply, I have two, I think one was £5 & one was £12 (the first was a charity shop & the second was from eBay) I also have the season 4 Blu-ray, I’m really quite happy with the picture quality on the DVDs, except of course the 4x3 season 1. I would of course buy a Blu-ray set, but I can’t see that happening.

I just checked eBay UK & you can buy the whole set s/h for about £18…or season 1-8 for only £8.25 delivered!

…in fact looking on eBay, I’ve just bought another set, this is madness, but a box of seasons 1-7 for only £4.79 delivered is just too good to pass up (159 episodes on 21 discs for only 79p more than my Saturday newspaper!).
