not really interested in this one. outside of Pacino's performance the movie has always been pretty "meh" to me. I have the normal 4K release i got for 10 bucks on black friday a couple years ago and I'll stick with that.

I think it's actually pretty good considering what they could've done art wise. Looks like at least like some effort went into it.

If they redid both movie discs, restored the theatrical color timing, put out lossless quad and six-track mixes, and restored the original roadshow format, I'd bite for $75.

Scarface was one of the last epics. It's arguably the last with mag quad sound (though I believe at least two mag quad films came out in 1984), it was made right when 70mm blow-ups for fanciness's sake were giving way to blow-ups for six-track sound's sake (which lasted roughly another decade), and it was one of the last films to have an intermission (right after Tony sees the blimp, right before "Push It To The Limit"; it's very effective this way, with
[Show spoiler]Tony starting with nothing and winding up with everything in the first part, and Tony having everything and losing it all in the second part
. This has never been presented on home video this way, with the closest thing being a few seconds of black in between the two scenes on all copies, and a crude intermission inserted into the old tapes after the hot tub scene ("Who put this thing together? Me! That's who!") that ends fifteen minutes after the real intermission.

It's one of Universal's evergreen titles, so hopefully by the 50th, they finally do this film right for once.

Has to be. Universal just gave us a new Jaws Steelbook with the original 4K disc thrown in.

Some details about the set. It's limited, and numbered to 6,600 copies, and the poster is actually made of metal with a magnetic wall mount.

That's actually a great price with all of that including the metal poster. I have some various metal prints and they really stand out in quality.

Maybe they can finally include the hip hop track Universal prepared before De Palma kiboshed it.

Scarface still has a bangin’ 80s soundtrack. It’s one of the radio stations in GTA3, Flashback. It would have been better as a station in Vice City.

Really weird that they would include Tammy Lynn Leppert on the cover, the girl that would go missing not long after the film finished production.
