Very well shot, acted and does not hold back in being cruel as hell but lacks the simple coherency that Talk To Me had; That film kept things straightforward and it really amped up the stakes whereas this goes for a vague route in how its supernatural mechanics work and as a result, it made things hard for me to care what was happening on screen. Sure to look great in the format though; Even in my rink-a-dink screening room I was really into how it looked and its texture.

Aren't A24 4k's exclusive to their website?

I thought this was just ok. Not bad certainly, but not also something I'd excitedly recommend to folks. The ideas presented for how possession occurs were very interesting, but The wrong person survives the outcome of this film which really killed the enjoyment for me as there were some easy changes that could have been made in the final act to provide a much more satisfying, yet gut wrenching ending. The actual horror is also relatively small from a traditional standpoint with arguably the most horrific aspects of the film being more based on the manipulation and psychological torment perpetrated than anything else.

If Talk to Me was a solid 8 out of 10, Bring Her Back is a middle of the road 5. Worth a watch (and maybe a purchase) but hardly something to get excited about.

I went ahead and put an order in with A24. I remember them shipping out Heretic in a pretty timely fashion, so fingers crossed this one turns out the same. It's such a killer film. Such a shame it didn't do as well as Talk To Me.

Hmm, I didn't like Talk to Me much either, and I was going to skip this, but your comment now has me interested in checking it out.

No, the following have gotten wide releases

Additionally, most if not all of the other A24 4K releases are also available at B&N, who they have some kind of partnership with:

I've also seen some at Bullmoose and Walmart as well, with the former selling them cheaper than anywhere else does (got my copy of Queer for 25 asking price instead of 30).

I’ll be waiting for this to go live somewhere else… or I may look into a UK release, if they go with a standard packaging.

I used mine on the I Saw The TV Glow Score on vinyl, but snagged BHB 4K along with the soundtrack as soon as they went up.

Yeah, A24 always gets stuff to me really quickly. I just read the site review of Queer and the reviewer mentioning the delay in his review is kind of silly... As far as the gross goes, I agree. I think Bring Her Back is a much better film than Talk To Me, but also a lot more brutal
[Show spoiler]watching Sally Hawkins shove Billy Barratt's head in the mud to suffocate him after hitting him with her car was terrifically shocking among a movie full of shocks
and a lot less standard horror-fare.

I loved the hell out of this movie.
I give it an 8/10.
I like that it is a simple, straightforward story, but the mechanics of the "why" is slowly dolled out in a way that allows enough mystery to unfold without breaking the mechanics of its "lore" as the story progresses.
The three younger cast members all brought their A-game and did an awesome job.

It's not perfect, but there is so much goodness that it makes the journey worth the viewing effort.

Nice! I love the aaa24 membership. It pays for itself pretty much. My birthday is also next week and I’m excited to see what they have to offer for that.

Will wait to see if this gets U.K. release, if not, will slap an order in. A24’s U.K. disc distribution is a mess. Still no sign of Warfare.

There is a Canadian release that comes in a standard plastic case. It doesn't have the postcards and is missing one of the special features, but if digipaks bother you, that's an option.
