The 3D will have to be exceptional in this for me, looking at the trailer this looks like a movie made with 2023 sensibilities, it's like a sketch parody of Predator. At least it looks more respectful of the franchise than Prey did.

Somehow the Hirogen from Star Trek were the real continuation of Predator.

The trailer didn't seem like the film would be set up to have strong 3D. Again, hopefully it does.

Prey was one of the better efforts in my opinion, but this new film looks great. Different is good, they are expanding the mythology, and this Predator isn’t meant to look like the rest.

Can’t wait personally.

a very pleasant surprise, but no 3D blu ray ruins that surprise quite a bit. prey was OK but the trailers for this aren't really doing anything for me and i do not care for Elle Fanning. Hopefully it will be good but the lack of a 3D blu down the line removes any enthusiasm i might have had.

If you had asked me, do I want to see a Terminator movie where Arnold is a sidekick to a chattering teenage John Connor who forbids him to kill people, I would have said that sounds lame. And it was a little bit. But it was also a good movie.

That's true, what I'm hung up on is that if the name of the formula is on the box then I expect its contents to follow the formula.

Star Trek made the Hirogen, why can't the rest of Hollywood also make a legally-distinct version of Predator if they want to change up the Predator formula?
Taking it back to Trek, the hunter lashing out when he's told that he is the prey sounds like something a Klingon might do.

One of the best parts of Cameron's T-2 3D theme park attraction (RIP...) was the liquid terminator neck craning way out of the screen and into the audience. While this trailer didn't make the movie look shot for 3D to me (not much depth), it's the sort of film where I think we could have lasers and drones shooting out into the theater, big negative parallax for big spectacle (and to compensate for the lacking behind-the-window depth).

Give me the big 3D and I'll take "TEMU Predator" along with it. Honestly it, despite my griping, does look better than Prey did.

I wasn't a big fan of Prey, and its the same director again, and the whole Hybrid Predator thing now... i don't know. 3D got me slightly interested but still cautions with this one.
