Saw it at best-buy yesterday...... had to pick up something really quick (which led to me spending over an hour walking around the Man-Paradise) and saw they had it..... I almost got it, but changed my mind..... They only had one copy though.... which was odd.

It's out there, just look a litte harder. BB and CC have it along with other stores at retail.

So does anyone know why Amazon is offering a completely new version???
What's wrong with the one that came out last year?
It's up on this page as Pre-Order

I noticed a while ago it was gone from amazon and dvdpacific.

A reliable source told me that supplies for that title were low and needed replenishing. I could have waited but I bit the bullet and ordered from deepdiscount. It was the only Kubrick film I still didn't have on Blu-ray.

Completely agree... I love Kubrick and I tend to like the style/genre that Eyes Wide Shut falls into... just didn't "care" for this one at all.

They might be re-releasing it with both cuts of the film. It was advertised on the case as having both cuts but it only had one.

Or maybe they changed the info on the case to reflect only cut.

Yeah,

Mostly likely re-do-ing the package so it doesn't claim to have both versions of the film since it only has the unrated.

We have a winner. Doubt they're remastering it. Most likely just reprinting the insert.
