Need a moving company

Last time I moved, the company canceled the night before, so this time I’m trying to book a crew in advance for a mid-August move. Has anyone worked with Three Movers or similar companies with a good reputation for reliability?

I've moved 3 times since 2011 but never used a legitimate business. People at work recommended guys with trucks. My last move was through a buddy at work, a guy I trust. He actually moved me for free but it was tough. It's always tough I guess - and expensive.

I hate moving.....I will be selling my place in the summer of 27', so at least I have time to plan. Been thinking of a moving company to move my stuff as well......but money talks.

Do you have a ton of knick knacks to pack away? Heaps of clothing/shoes? Movies/music? If I were you I'd start packing those up now, anything you consider valuable/sentimental and is small-ish you should carefully pack away in boxes now and take to a storage unit. The bigger stuff like appliances and furniture will be your bigger burden and that stuff has to be prepped last. To make it easier on you, you should consider selling or getting rid of old or worn out furniture/appliances and just buy new stuff when you move. You'll have a lot less to worry about come moving day.
