Default All Interactive - 4K Feature-Free Releases

I think we're all aware All Interactive Distribution have historically been releasing Paramount, Universal & Sony 4K's as a single disk (no Blu-ray). Sometimes this means we get no special features (usually with Sony releases, since Universal and Paramount generally include the special features on their new release non-catalogue 4K discs).

About 6 months ago I emailed AID, asking them to consider reintroducing the Blu-ray disc with their standard 4K releases (only when the special features were not included on the 4K disc). It sucked to have to buy both the 4K and Blu-ray, or the (overpriced Sony) Steelbook (if one was even offered), just to get a complete set of content. If we had to go this route, it was almost always cheaper to buy a US/UK 4K+Blu-ray combo from Amazon.

Well, the last two new AID Sony 4K releases I bought (Snatch & Until Dawn) have included the Blu-ray disc (both 4K discs omit the special features).

These two titles are the the only point of reference I have (and the only two most recent release Sony titles I can remember buying), but can anyone confirm if this is now going to be the new normal? Have they actually listened to me, and potentially anyone else who's raised this with them?

Yeah I wouldn't get too excited just yet. As you mentioned when AID took over distribution the only option for Sony titles - where special features (barring commentaries) are almost exclusively on the Blu ray copy - was to get the 4K/Blu ray Steelbook combo locally (see Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, Bad Boys Ride or Die, Karen The Hunter)
While Until Dawn did get a 4K/Blu ray combo there was also no Steelbook release for that title. So the only version with the special features (on the Blu ray) is the standard one.
The upcoming Sony title Karate Kid Legends is not getting a 4K/Bluray combo with the standard version, only for the steelbook. And as yet there is no confirmation on other upcoming Sony titles 28 Years Later (which is getting steelbook here) and the reboot I Know What You Did Last Summer (no local steelbook listed yet but there is one overseas).
So it seems if there's a Sony steelbook release here we get the Blu ray only with that version, otherwise no steelbook then a standard release 4K/Blu ray combo is possible.

Paramount's Vanilla Sky thankfully included the regular Blu-ray but 48 Hours doesn't.

It's clearly going to be whatever AID decides to do

There does seem to be consistency that if a film didn't receive a previous BD release, AID will pack that in.

That’s not entirely true tho, primal fear, do the right thing and others didn’t receive a BD release here and the 4K doesn’t include the BD
