I was asked a question about storing plasma's on their backs
so I contacted our Panasonic Rep.. His reply...

Yes, maybe not immediate but the panels flex when flat and the center pixels become fatigued and will eventually lose colorimetry compared to the surrounding pixels.
The boxes are not rated for horizontal stacking which is also a concern.
The factory specifically specifies vertical storage and transport except for short periods of time as when installing slot boards.

So, I gather you're not asking a question? The short answer... you can lay it down while installing it, but transporting it in that position increases the probability of cracking the glass. All the rumors of gas leakage and gas displacement is bogus. The only issue with laying a Plasma down is the risk of cracking the glass while in transport. The glass may crack driving over bumps due to the weight and gravity working against it buy being in that position.
