Default Blu-ray DataBase/Catalogue????

I don't know about you guys but I'm a stickler for organization. Somewhere down the road I would like to see a database where I can go in and check all the BluRays I own and hit print and have a complete printout. I would also like it to be expansive - for example; I imagine one day, there will be a BluRay 500 disc player where not only can I print out my blurays titles but also have the option of printing out the Blurays Cover Illustration and Back Discription. Customization would be nice as well. Half page front cover half page back cover...or whatever, the options could be endless. Is there anyone else interested in such a concept. I would even pay a yearly fee of say $10 for maintenance.

Yeah, I'd like to see that too. I investigated creating one with a wiki feature, but developing it would take MONTHS.

I have been using DVD Profiler for years now. It's a great program and lets you customize a lot. Not too long ago I found phpmyprofiler and I am still working out some kinks in that program.

DVD Profiler can be found here: www.invelos.com
If you register you can upload your collection to their server and link to it.

Check my site to see what the php version looks like... keep in mind this is still pretty raw!

Let me know what you guys think.

Oh btw... the cover scans on my page I am scanning myself.
I wasn't too happy with some of the recent BD scans from the database.

I'd love to see something like this, only editable by anyone. But I'd like to see it for globally-released discs. So, UK & European releases. So, that everyone knows what region codes, features, and all for releases everywhere.

Thanks guys, but I cannot take all the credit for it.
See if you check out the DVD Profiler program, you see that you can export your own collection into an xml file, which then is being used in the phpmyprofiler.

Invelos' program is dead easy. You can enter the DVDs by UPC, by title, by inserting the DVD into a DVD Rom... or even scan the barcode if you have one of those nifty handheld ones. There is different options to print out a report, which would show the titles you have just as text, with covers, covers only etc. There is basically no limit to it! Then you can enter some personal info, where bought, for how much, when and leave a little review of it as well etc...
Anyone interested should definitely check it out. It's free for the basic program, if you decide to register for the paid version you get better cover scans and I believe space on their server to upload the collection to. Which will look something like this (this is my regular DVD collection): http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/katharsis

And MrEggMan, it is a global database! You will find all kinds of regions and language versions... Just enter the UPC and 99.9% it will find it! There might be some off titles or of course bootlegs that are not being supported!

PHPmyProfiler is available at: http://phpmyprofiler.de/

A basic version will look like this (on my site, for regular DVDs, Database is empty at the moment though, cause I sold a whole bunch of movies and need to update my collection) http://www.slaywhat.com/dvds/

If I would have the time I would do a public site, but it is quite time consuming and right now there is still about 40-50 Blu-rays I don't even have in my list, yet. I also want to have some time to watch them in between
But who knows, maybe I'll tackle it at some point.

Just FYI, if you want to use PHPmyProfiler you need dedicated webspace and MYQSL or similar installed to get the database working.

And yes, it is editable for anyone!

DVDSpot is pretty good too. I have been using it for a while, but just wanted a bit more out of it.. you know just more customizable.

another vote for DVDSpot here,

the features are endless,... i keep a list of all my owned blu-rays,... i also keep a list of every DVD i have viewed/rented, date watched, and my rating.. the filter options can't be beaten either.

i have tried all catalogue software/websites,.. and this wins hands down.

I've been using CollectorZ for years and I've always been happy with it. I need to get a new version though because the older version doesn't load up Blu-ray automatically. I'm trying out the trial right now. I had forgotten about DVD Profiler. I'm downloading it now and I'll play with it a bit and decide which one suits my needs with Blu.
