Default Movies that need a new transfer

I just got back from a friends house after watching the Blu Ray version of Sleepy Hollow and it didn't look much different than than the standard DVD. I think they definitely need to go back and make a new transfer of it. So speaking of new transfers what are some other titles that really need to be re-done so it actually looks like HD?

A lot of people tend to immediately assume the problem is the transfer when they're not impressed with the picture quality. Most of the time the transfer is not the problem and accurately reflects poor source material.

All the Terminator movies need to remastered. They should start the remastering process before Terminator 4 gets released on blu or when the boxset gets released. I would suggest adding DTS MA for each movie because the Terminator franchise has been very successful.

I'd say American Psycho could desperately use some help. One of my favorite movies looks rather like ass at this point (slightly better than DVD, but the print has so much dirt and crap that it's kind of distracting at some points).

King of California could as well (only because it's a 720p master or something similar)... it looks really great style wise (color, depth, etc.), but it's just not 1080p (jaggies are easily seen everywhere). It could probably be a top tier title if it wasn't for that. I still love it regardless though.

Those are the only two I own that I can think of that could likely look far better if a bit more work was put into the master.

LOL remove the grain from it and it will look as cheap and as fake as any 1930 special effet movie. They some many place that the pasting is OBVIOUS that grain reduce that.

King Kong on HD DVD is a great example of what NOT to do in a movie. I mean this movie look so good that the SFX look crappy as hell that i actually LAUGHTED in Theater....

I feel like the fugitive needs another release. Although one thing I can say, is that I did watch my dvd copy after *****ing about the PQ on the BD release and needless to say, it looks better than the upconverted version.

Does it need another release, yes. But I think that it is still a HUGE step above the DVD version

You would think that a movie with a $200 mil+ budget, they could have made King Kong look a little better... not to mention how fake a lot of the green screen shots looked.

I thought Kong himself looked absolutely spectacular, but to me that whoel Brontosaurus chase looked fake as hell. Really dissappointed as the rest of the CGI looked amazing. I thin that scene must have been done late and they were behind on time to get the movie finished and in theaters. Too bad.

nothing is going to change with a remastering. They used a very poor quality camera to film it.
