I wonder if he was 'drunk' again when he wrote that? One of THE biggest and most pathetic shills of all time out of this whole thing.

I dont see how what he said means he's in denial. All he says is that he is going to keep his collection and maybe rent some of them out. What he should burn his collection that he spent money on and trash it?

You obviously don't know Robert and are here mainly to dispute everything any BD fan says. What are you doing here anyway? Do you think you bring some sort of moderation or something? Hardly. It seems clear that you are a DUD fan here to start fights.

You obviously have no idea who that is and what his background in this entire thing is, and has been.

Haha, that's Robert Zohn. He's been suckling the teat from the very beginning. Many outrageous (false) claims about Blu-ray ensued.

The rental service isn't a horrible idea, I guess, but it would only work for a very short time, since the HD DVD fan base in declining rather than growing, and since no new releases are coming out, it wouldn't take very long until everybody had already rented the films they wanted to rent. So . . . good idea for about six months, I guess.

This post tells all you need to know about this Con man. By the way its ok to

spend that much on a ax2 but blu ray cost to much.

1. It's simply the very best up-converting SD DVD player ever built and at a lower cost then well respected up-converting SD DVD premium players.

2. It's the best HD DVD player ever made, with great build quality and the very finest specifications and features. So for those of us with HD DVDs this makes a great addition.

3. Their are over 400 HD DVD titles released in the USA and many are available at very low prices so their is still life in the 400 catalog titles, plus don't forget the region free format makes importing the 500 or so additional titles very tempting. Even Disney has HD DVD titles.

4. Many folks have HD DVD players, but more HDTVs than players so adding the flagship XA2 with its well regarded up-conversion quality makes sense at teh final close-out deal.

5. Getting an XA2 with the $38 4 yr additional extended and transferable warranty and 5 free titles makes this a very attractive offer.

Isnt that a personal attack against me?

Also, while i support BD, i am not a mindless Sony Zombie. Too many people here are quick to judge people if they dont 100% support sony.

AH, i didnt realize his post history, but then, i dont really pay attention to peoples post history either. What i saw him say didnt seem like he was in denial, but if you are right about his previous posts, then it changes it. I still dont think anyone that owns HD DVD should be made to sell their collection though, as others here seem to think.

Yes, i kept my dvds, I own over 3000 of them. I do upgrade them to BD as they come out, and sell the DVDS off. Just because a new tech is out, doesnt mean the old tech is worthless. Especially if the movies are not out on BD.

mostly joking, but this IS a familiar red ant refrain, that supporting = being a sony zombie... seeing as how the bda isn't just sony...

I remember when Robert claimed over at AVS when the PS3 was first released that it had terrible Blu-ray picture quality. I knew little about him at that point in time but that was all I had to know.
