Trouble Hearing Dialogue - Blu-ray Forum

This weekend I watched both ''3:10 to Yuma'' and ''We Own The Night'' (both good movies by the way, especially 3.10) and I found I was having trouble hearing some of the dialogue. I own a Sony KDS-50A2000 but haven't expanded my audio set beyond the TV itself.
If anyone knows why this may be happening, or what settings I should have my PS3 on to solve this problem please post them. That would be great. Thanks guy.
Also, anyone else having this problem?

i watched 3:10 to yuma last night and thought the very same as you.
the sound quality was rotten. my sound system is only capable of 5.1 PCM and if im correct the 7.1 track is downgraded without losing any quality. but man was i dissapointed with the sound

I would check the audio settings on the PS3. Maybe it's set to 5.1 output. Most of the dialogue is sent to the center channel in a 5.1 setup, but since your TV is only stereo it doesn't have a center channel. Make sure your PS3 is only only outputting in stereo.
