I am fully expecting a Blu Ray release slate this week, specially given how Paramount seemed to have been gearing up for a Blu Ray switch long before their anouncement...

The HD-DVD version should really be of no concern to us, but I guess it gives me hope that they're readying it for Blu-ray.

Fingers crossed.

This is a great move on Paramount's part, and re-instills my faith in them a bit. If they were truly greedy, they'd capitalize on the Oscar hype to sell as many of the HD DVD discs as possible, seeing as they're probably already pressed. But by canceling it, they're obviously aware of the futility of releasing new movies on that format.

Then again, is anyone surprised? Blades of Glory was already shipped out to retail when it was snapped back up by Paramount after going HD DVD exclusive. Now that HD DVD is dead, they're snapping back all the announced titles. I wonder how many HD DVD drones out there are going, "I can't believe this!" ??? Sounds so familiar...
