Default Dvi?

My concern is my tv is DVI not HDMI. I tried using a HDMI to DVI converter for my DVD upscaler and it didn't work due to DRM bullshit.

I would assume that problem wouldn't happen with blu-ray DVD's. Will I have any trouble with a PS3?

I'm using a HDMI-to-DVI cable with one of my PS3s. It's working fine but the DVI ports on mine support HDCP. I didn't think that kind of stuff was being enforced yet though. The article I read was from a wihle back but I thought I had seen others online comfirm that HDCP wasn't be enforced yet.

The xbitlabs article is from may 2006, I am pretty sure that the owners manual for the PS3 says that the display MUST be HDCP compatible.

I have an RCA "52 and only DVI, yes mine is HDCP compliant...would like to say yours is too...but we wont know without the model number.

Try using an HDMI-DVI cable...not a converter. To many handshakes goin on.

go to monoprice.com and get an hdmi-dvi cable.
