Default Sound from existing surround

Quickie guys.
Just connected up PS3 to LG TV, picture fantastic using HDMI. Can't get audio to come through my existing Pioneer systems. Have read in PS3 docs that i may have to use the scart plug for my audio. That correct?
Or do i need to run audio leads from TV into sound system direct now?

Cheers

I have my Onkyo receiver hooked up to my PS3 through the fiber optics port and it sounds great

you have to go under the audio out settings and changed it over to optical out or coaxial out based on which output you are using toward your receiver

Default HDMI Receiver Inputs

If you have HDMI inputs on your pioneer receiver and they are not just "HDMI switchers" you can hook the HDMI from PS3 to the receiver then hook another HDMI cable from receiver to TV. In the receiver you may have to turn HDMI audio to on so the receiver will extract and play the audio and pass the video to the TV. This is the only way you can hear uncompressed PCM sound and Dolby TrueHD from the PS3

Sounds like you are going to have to run the HDMI cable into the back of the tv and then a fiber optic from the PS3 into your receiver...that is the best way if you don't have HDMI switching on your receiver...
