I had a pair of these for a while.
They're really good quality, built like a tank. They give you that same distinct Polk sound that nearly all Polk speakers have. Bright highs, very good imaging. You can bi-amp them if you want, which is nice. The only reason I got rid of them was that the bass was too overpowering for my tastes. These are very sensitive speakers and the woofers are really active even if you're only pushing them with 30 watts. The problem I had is that the midrange was getting lost in all the bass. Of course, if you are using these mostly for home theater, that would not be an issue. It would really only matter for certain kinds of music that have a prominent midrange. But then again, it's just a question of taste. Some people like heavy bass whereas I would prefer mine to be more musical and accurate. Just depends on what you like. |
