I wanted to see this in theatres, but never got the chance to. I'm so tired of these movies like Rendition, and awake being released on standard dvd. Anyone know when we could possibly see these released on Blu?

Yeah I was surprised it was getting only DVD treatment. I will be buying for sure. Very good movie. Very oversee'd and under rated.

I gotta say the trailer alone scared the shit out of me. Def a new spin for a thriller. I cant wait to see it, but I'll be waiting for Blu.

Not sure it will be released on BD anytime soon. It's Weinstein Company, they haven't done any Blu-rays so far, have they?

I have this one coming from Netflix this week, as I missed it in theaters as well... or rather it disappeared pretty quickly from the big screen!

No, not yet.

They didn't release much when they were HD-DVD exclusive either. I think the last HD-DVD they released was back in June.

There have been rumors that they have been having financial problems, which is why they haven't been supporting high def movies very much.

I will be buying the standard DVD and when it hits Blu, I will upgrade. I liked this one a lot. I don't care what anyone says about Hayden. I quite like him.

Just because something tanks, doesn't mean it shouldn't get released on every available format.

Agreed,
I plan on renting this one sometime this week, looks like a great thriller, but i do hate it when they have movies like "Awake" and they only release them on DVD. I thought for sure this would be released on Blu. I guess we'll just have to wait...

If you like this movie, you should check out Stephen King's short story Autopsy Room 4. You can find it in the short story collection: Everything's Eventual, along with 1408, which was way better than the film version.

The whole book is a great read, for those of us who can unplug from our PS3 long enough.

Oh ok, gotcha. You should put a smiley or an lol after it or something. It's hard to relay sarcasm over the internet.

I do think Jessica Alba needs to back off a bit. She needs to pick her roles carefully. Lately Of course she can reprise her roles in the Fantastic Four and Sin City.

But thats IT. What other roles has she been in that were like, WOW, sweet?

From box office mojo

The Eye - 30 million
Awake - 14 million
Good Luck Chuck - 35 million
The Ten (Which was a good movie) 769 thousand..
Fantastic Four ROTSS - 131 Million
Into the Blue - 18 million
Fantastic Four - 154 million
Sin City - 74 Million
Honey - 30 million

She isnt a big money maker.. only with Fantastic Four honestly.. sin city's 74 million isnt huge by industry's standards.. its such a shame, I mean seriously. Shes gone down the path of Jessica Biel.. by the way what the hell happened to her? Jessica Alba/Biel were slated to be these huge female stars.. and neither ever came to past.

Into the Blue was a pretty good movie and IMO she is the one that carried Good Luck Chuck! (had some hilarious scenes). The ten was awful, so was The Eye! Really hope she'll pick some better roles and show that she can act!!!

As to Jessica Biel... Here is a movie that's scheduled for 2009- Nailed (from imdb): "A freak accident turns a small-town woman into a sexually-adventurous bombshell..."

Thumbs down

I feel your pain man, I would like to have seen this movie on Blu-ray. This is one of those frustrating weeks when there are no really good new releases out on bluray in my opinion. But on the bright side, I can get a movie already out that I haven't seen yet. It's frustrating to look and see movies like Awake, Beowulf, and American Gangster among many many others not yet out on bluray. Patience I guess.
