one is 120hz (XBR), the other isnt. and the contrast ratio is higher on the XBR as well.

If you want the silky smooth motion, go witht he XBR, otherwise the 3000 makes for a great set.

XBR5 is 120hz, were the w3000 is not. So, I would assume so. I have seen both and prefer the XBR 4/5, the W3000 is a nice set though.

the XBR has a better picture processing engine, it is noticable, but not measurable in numbers on the specs. So spec sheets won't show anything other than the 120Hz. Go see them both. Or better yet, wait for the Panasonic PZ800

I really don't like the look of the Motionflow so I personally would get the W series...I think the motionflow looks like an average person taping with a video camera...

I have this Samsung LCD http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-t...tag=prod.txt.7

I love it, but I am looking for one that has 52" and 24p and 120Hz would be welcome as well. The W3000 does not seen worth the U$5800 (where I live).

Motionflow gives it that 3d camcorderish look, 120hz just fixes the motion judder. Many people think 120hz just has that artificial look, if you turn off the motionflow, you still acheive 5:5 pulldown and retain the theatrical look without the motion judder on camera pans. that 3d "look" once again isnt a result of 120hz, it's a result of motion processing circuitry by the tv.
