That's the color I wanted from the get-go.

I got a silver receiver and DirecTV DVR to match the first photos that came out in 2005, only to have the PS3 launch in black only.

Ah well... no use crying over spilled milk.

I think the PS3's curvaceous body suits silver a LOT better than any of the PS2 models. I found them ugly as sin.

Man...silver with BC and SACD would be dreamy. It'd go with my PSP and my external hard drive. Not my TV/Receiver/Stand though...hmm...

Not sure if it's Japan or Asia only. There's also a satin silver PS3 bundle with Ryu Ga Gotoku: Kenzan!

Has anyone heard about the 120G PS3? I've heard it's a "sure thing", but no one is willing to speculate on when.
There's a few other (awesome) rumors I've heard about it, but first thing's first.

meh.... it looks ok.. kind of cheap looking (the controller anyway) they should have gone with a different colour

I agree with that, at least from these pictures it looks that way. Maybe it will look better in person.
