705 and XBR4...?

I read that the Onkyo 705 is not compatible with the XBR4, as far as the Motion Enhancer goes, can anyone confirm or deny that this is true.

The reason I ask is, I have both and it seems to work fine but I would like to know for sure.

The onkyo 705 is hdmi 1.3a compliant, so it should be able to send 1080P/24 video to the display, in which case the motion enhancer should work fine.

In fact according to wikipedia any hdmi cable is capable of sending 1080p/24 video to the display.

The problem is fixed! You can watch 120 with the reciever. I too like the motion enhancer, but not on everything. Watching motion enhancer on DVD or SD stuff looks ugly, but on a really good bluray, its mind blowing. To me at least. Movies like Troy though, I'd rather not have the 120 on. Apocalypto looked stunning with it on, it gives you this sense of immersion, like you're part of the forrest. I got the TV now and everytime I come home from work, turn it on, I have the biggest smile on my face as if I just gotten laid or something.

Hit the "display" button on the PS3 bd remote...does it say anything about 24fps when Motion enhancer is engaged? what about when 24hz off?

They both work fine togeather, no problems so your good to go.

Yeah I think it works fine, I am now at home watching Return of the Jedi on my xbr4 hooked up to the 705 and it looks stunning with motion enhancer on...I think it is not true, but I wanted to make sure.
