Default Citytv: High Def Awareness

I saw this the other day at home, just came accross the video and thought I would share.

Now that it's over, it seems they are trying to make the general consumer aware that although the price is cheap, it's not worth it. Nice to see Citytv promoting consumer awareness, as well as Blu-ray.

There are some pretty funny quotes in the video, nothing we didn't already know but it's nice to see it brodcasted to the public on a fairly poular Canadian channel.

Here's the link to the video

I laughed a few times, the coaster bit was kinda funny as well as the red X over the HD DVD logo. The best thing about this being brodcasted to the public was that he mentioned "Don't buy anything unless it's clearly branded with the Blu-ray logo".

Great that they mention the PS3 as well.

Pretty cool of tehm to get straight to the point, but that's what City does!

Odd that when they mention that all players are currently profile 1.0 that they're showing a Panasonic DMP-BD30 on the screen, which is 1.1.

Thanks so much for this. I live in Toronto and you have just provided me a great tool to sell Blu-ray & the PS3 to people. Most people won't listen to me, but they usually listen to the news. Thanks for that.
