Default Hammer Films, Amicus on BD Anyone?

I would love to have the British Horror movies from the 1950's that continued into the 1970s. Hammer films, Amicus, etc.

Just a few examples:

1. Tales from the Crypt.
2. Brides of Dracula.
3. The Evil of Frankenstein.
4. Island of Terror

And so many more... Do these movies appeal to you for BD release?

Would easily buy day one.
Love Hammer films, including the series.
Would also love the Roger Corman / Vincent Price movies.

That was the one movie that scared me Sh_tless as a kid. And then when they had to chop off Peter Chushing's hand with an axe with blood spirting out of the stump...? OK, thats it.

I am a huge fan of the Hammer and Amicus catalogs. Hopefully some of these will make their way to Blu-ray soon. Start the writing campaign!

Warner Bros. controls the best of the Hammer library:

Warner Bros:

Horror of Dracula (Hammer)
Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (Hammer)
Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed (Hammer)
Taste the Blood of Dracula (Hammer)
Dracula A.D. 1972 (Hammer)
The Mummy (Hammer)
Curse of Frankenstein (Hammer)
From Beyond the Grave (Amicus)

Sony:

Revenge of Frankenstien (Hammer)
Torture Garden (Amicus)

Universal:

The Brides of Dracula (Hammer)
The Curse of the Werewolf (Hammer)
The Phantom of the Opera (Hammer)
Paranoiac (Hammer)
The Kiss of the Vampire (Hammer)
Nightmare (Hammer)
Night Creatures (Hammer)
The Evil of Frankenstein (Hammer)

Paramount:

Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell (Hammer)
Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter (Hammer)

Anchor Bay/Starz:

Dracula, Prince of Darkness (Hammer)
Scars of Dracula (Hammer)
Horror of Frankenstein (Hammer)
Blood from the Mummy's Tomb (Hammer)
The Mummy's Shroud (Hammer)
Lust for a Vampire (Hammer)
To the Devil a Daughter (Hammer)
Quatermass and the Pit (Hammer)
Plague of the Zombies (Hammer)
Abominable Snowman (Hammer)

MGM:

Hound of the Baskervilles (Hammer)
The People That Time Forgot (Amicus)
At the Earth's Core (Amicus)
The Land That Time Forgot (Amicus)
Madhouse (Amicus)
The Vault of Horror (Amicus)
Tales from the Crypt (Amicus)

Dark Sky Films Amicus Collection:

Asylum (Amicus)
And Now the Screaming Starts (Amicus)
The Beast Must Die (Amicus)

Lionsgate:

House that Dripped Blood (Amicus)

Image Entertainment:

I, Monster (Amicus)

One of my favorite films from Amicus is "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors" but I am not sure who currently holds the rights to this gem.

Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter (Hammer)

Anchor Bay/Starz:

Image Entertainment:

One of my favorite films from Amicus is "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors" but I am not sure who currently holds the rights to this gem. Start writing Dark Sky Films. They already have some titles in the Blu-ray pipeline. Tell them you want the Amicus Collection.

I would almost guarantee we'll see classic Hammer films on Blu-ray at some point. Here's a good site that catalogs all the dvd releases:
