God of War? Army of 2? - Blu-ray Forum

First of all wanted to say thanks to all who helped in my situation with my pre-owned 80gb.. I wound up calling Sony and eating the $150. It hurt but now i'm just excited to get it replaced. =D

Had a couple game questions:

First- God of War 1&2--are these worth picking up? I've heard a lot of great things about them, and I still want a good hack-n-slash game.

Army of 2? What's the word guys? I havent seen a thread dedicated to the game yet and I was pretty hyped after what I've seen and heard!

God Of War 1 and 2 are awesome, for the price, you should add them to your collection, Im still waiting my army of 2, but reading reviews, I hear more good comments then negative, I also hear the game is kinda short, haven't played it myself, but even if the game is short, you can still go online

GoW are absolutley Amazing and Ao2 is canny but the online is totally broken ie simply wont connect to anything, boo ea

My bad. Didn't see that. I think i'll be getting all three than. I feel this PS3 thing becoming a big money pit. =p

Another question. I dont have an HDTV; anyone have a suggestion or direction i should be looking to find a relatively inexpensive HDTV, (flat panel is preferred, of course)

I'm starting to love this forum

IMO, go look at the samsung lcd's, LNT models

Almost all HDTVs are flat panels (and the ones which aren't are extremely expensive, even more so than the flat panels).

Any recommendation would be more dependent on your budget, and where you live (country), as well as the environment of the room you're going to place the TV in.

The god of wars are great and i personally like army of two, although i play it on the 360, i dont see that it would be any different on the ps3.

what you couldn't do a co-op game at all? Have you tried again today, I should be getting this in the mail soon, and 3 of my boys want to co-op

Wow you're too late to get special deal from last week. GOW 1 was 50% off from Circuit City and GOW 2 is still at regular price.

The God of Wars are a must buy. Army of Two is sweet. I have played the ps3 and the 360 versions and you can't tell them apart. I personally like the controls of the ps3 plus when you reload you can give the sixaxis a quick jerk upward and it reloads the gun which i thought was cool. You can also access the XMB from the main menu screen of the game to read and type text which is cool. I wish it had the achievements like the 360. If you like the co op like Rainbow 6 Vegas or Gears Of War then you will like this. Online play is good but you have to have a good team mate that is willing to work as a team as apposed to the run and gun style.
