If it was directed by Joe Smith instead of the Coen Brothers it would have received very little notice. The movie dragged on, the ending was ridiculous, and it was just an average film. I've seen it twice now and the second time didn't bring any new light to the film. It should have come with a mask because it robbed There Will Be Blood of Oscar Glory. Now THAT is GREAT movie!

NCFOM was a very well made movie. It deserved an oscar that it did win. All you DDL fanboys shut the F$&@ up. If you don't like a movie that does not mean that everyone does not like it. I will buy this on BD and will have my friends get it too.

when some movies get popular - you can set your watch by the oncoming backlash.

Juno is one.
NCFOM is another.

Hmm...I've been watching people rant and rave about this movie...I saw it...and almost fell asleep...Not that I'm bashing this movie because everyone else loved it, which is fine, everyone should be able to love and have their own opinion on different things. I hated the ending...I don't know...not my type of movie I guess? Perhaps if I watch it on blu....it will get better...I'll have to add it to my netflix.

I don't think this is necessary....everyone's allowed to have an opinion, just like you are. Nobody has come out saying negative things about you or anybody else who likes the movie, they've just said they havn't liked the movie. I personally didn't like it, but I'm not going to come out lashing out...just my 2 cents...

That's an interesting opinion. I thought Daniel Day Lewis gave a brilliant performance in There Will Be Blood. If you look beyond that, the movie as a whole was nothing revolutionary. Don't get me wrong, it was well directed and an interesting adaptation of Upton Sinclair...but I don't think it was "robbed" of an oscar. NCFOM was a great film in its own right, encompassed some great performances and an enigmatic story. You think NCFOM dragged on?? There Will Be Blood was even longer and slower!!

Oh well, to each his own. I loved both films.
