From what it is starting to sound like, socom will have the same sales plan as warhawk where you can buy online from PSN or buy the disc with the headset.

This headset looks like a Jabra model that has the PS logo on it?

I didn't post this yesterday because I'm a bit suspicious of the cheesy-lighting prototype CG-model ness of it but it was probably never intended to be released to the public. Can't remember the last time a CG shot of an upcoming peripheral was released.

Hopefully:
1) this is true
2) you can charge using a USB connector
3) it's comfortable to wear for at least two hours nonstop

I'm still waiting for PC drivers for the PS3 Eye before I buy that thing.
