Should I buy the Panasonic BD30...or wait? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys, want to get your opinion on something. I'm able to purchase a new BD30 through an employee discount for $386.00 shipped (Panasonic Direct through my employer). The only concern I have is come mid-summer the BD50 will be coming out. I'm not too concerned with the 1.1/2.0 profile issue, I'm concerned about price. Should I go ahead now and pull the trigger and buy the BD30, or wait to see if they drop the price on it come June? Thanks ahead of time.

my opinion is get a ps3 for 399. but if you want cheap wait the BD30 will probably be on clearance.

Agree. PS3 is the best value for money. Sony has the commitment to evolve PS3 with blu-ray technology and they are good at it with regular firmware updates.
PS3 is an excellent blu-ray player as well as a game machine.

Well if you can wait then wait till the BD50 is released, the BD30 will be cheaper by then.
