Default best way to get rid of my tv

I was wondering if anyone have done anything crazy to get there warrenty to kick in to get new technology. I have a 5 years

Ummm they will know if you fiddled with your tv & that would void any warranty then + EW's are limited. Just sell the tv & if the EW is transferable you will get more money then with out it.

Oh & FYI technology is always changing since you did not know that before so your going to be in a repetitive cycle.

IF you have large powerful older speakers place close to the TV to distort the tube or purchase a powerful magnet and place behind said TV and leave the TV running till the picture dies. Whalla new TV.........

craigslist....

Why is everyone looking to scam the retailer on this forum? From exchanging the 5 free Blu-rays to Walmart, to this, etc...

I know these posts are jokes, but to the OP - seriously, if you don't want it anymore and want to upgrade - sell it.

Make sure you read the fine print before you go about commiting fraud. Those warranty companies are amazingly resourceful at coming up with ways to void the warranty.

Although, being left with no new TV and no working old TV would be a fitting end to your effort.
