Default NHT Classic Three Speakers?

I Just bought a pair about a month ago and all I can say is WOW!!!
I was wondering if anyone else has these or have auditioned these speakers? They replaced a pair of 11 year old Jamo bookshelf. The Absolute Sound Magazine called them the Worlds Best $1k Speaker. I paid $619 shipped.

I have owned a pair of SuperTwos, Superzeros (surrounds) and a Supercenter for about 8 years now and have loved them ever since the purchase. NHT makes speakers that are not warm, or harsh, they have this perfect blend that gives you that "wow" feeling you describe. NHT speakers are one of the most underrated and 'best bang for your buck' out there.

I too am a huge fan of NHT speakers, the clarity and detail is amazing. If I were in the market to upgrade I would definitely look at the classic series. I own SuperTwo mains, SuperOne center and surrounds, and SuperZero presence speakers( for yamaha receiver) and I love them

Default Classic Three's reticent treble...

Hi,

Do any of you Classic Three or Classic Four owners feel that the treble level seems slightly reduced than any other speakers? I mean it's there, just very reserved and polite.

I don't find that to be the case at all with my classic threes. The highs are load and clear. It might just be what is powering the speakers and what the settings are set at.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I too have the Classic Threes (w/ the 3C center) and they're in-credible!

I can't believe there isn't an "official NHT" thread on BR.com...?

I was fortunate to pick-up a set of 2.5i's and a audiocenter 1 for dirt cheap off of craigslist. Now to find a pair of rears to compliment these.
They definitely have a sound all their own, very open, neutral and accurate but will also reveal the best and worst in other componets they are hooked up to,they are power hungry.
I am suprized there is not an NHT owners forum here as well.

There is always this thread (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=575291) if you are indeed wanting to discuss or read about NHT speakers.

I have a Classic Four setup with Fours, Three C and Absolute Zeros in the back. What's that? No Subwoofer? HA! Don't need it with those Fours.

Any pics you can post? I would like to see your set up. The Fours are on my upgrade wish list.

I purchased classic towers and a classic center recently. Now I'm considering which sub to get with it. I'm interested in finding out how the verve sub compares to the 10 and 12. Anybody know anything about it?

No, but depending on your room size, I would personally want a bigger sub.

I think I'm leaning towards the B-10d for my sub. I found a place online where I can buy it new for $337.50 + shipping and tax(same place i got the towers and center). No rush tho, I'm using my old sub and surround speakers for now. It would be $427.50 for the B-12d. It's like $130. for the classic surround speakers that would match the rest of my set-up.

Are there any Classic 3 owners on here using a power amp along w/ an AVR?

I'm using the older Pioneer VSX-01TXH and I think I should be using more power w/ these Classic 3's.
