GTA IV Question?

Alot of people are buzzing about the game, and of course i pray i get a copy...however, after all the sreen shots i have seen, there is a big aspect of the game that concerns me......Vehicle models, from what i have seen they dont look that impresive, i know this might be small potatoes to some people but to me thats half the fun of GTA is being a badass drving around sweet bikes and nice cars. I know alot of people who are loyal to GTA are gonna hate me for this but Saints Row really had nice cars, and i know you can use the real NAMES of cars, but you can certainly use the models, and i know in NEw York people drive around, ferrair, lambroghini, porshe, etc. so i know it wouldnt be that far of a stretch. Ninja, R1, see where im goin, i know regaurdless GTA will probably be a great game and i will be addicted, but i was just wondering what everyone else thought of the car models thus far?

I think the graphics in general are some of the worst this generation, but I know the game will more than make up for that. I've never thought any GTA game had good graphics though, so this certainly didn't change my mind. Good enough describes my sentiments.

thats actually another point i was thinking of, have games gotten to the point to where we have to say " ehhhh ill take it", are we expecting to much or not enough from our game designers, personally if i am throwing out 60 bones for something i dont wanna have to settle, and honestly its not alot to ask either, because if you think of test drive, that was sweet, hundreds of sweet rides at your fingertips, granted you couldnt do all you can do in GTA but still, i just dont thing awsome car models is a tall order ya know?

A- GTA has never really been in the graphics bussiness more gameplay and how long you play it for.
and B - You have seen the stallion from the second trailer right?

in my opinion, all of the car models have improved over each game, so i wouldnt expect to see that change. trust me, rockstar knows that cars are a large part of their game, im sure you'll get some sweet ones. as for bikes, i think we might just get the typical one harley and one sport, but i hope not

i guess i havent, i cant wait to get my hands on the strategy guide, so i can see all the cars, ya know i was soo angry, gameinformer.com actually let people email in questions to rockstar about the game , i tried like a hundred times, i wanted to know did they use real vehicle models, which ones etc., and the only freaking, questions that got through were, "can i have a gf", "can i get married", i was so pissed, who gives a damn about girls in the game?

i can agree somewhat, i would just love to see ferrari, lambroghini etc. in there, and i REALLY wish we could MOD like in the pc version.

id have to agree...changing the colour of my car just isnt doing it for me anymore

i know , on the pc i have soo many mods, but its like i cant even play it anymore cause using my mods makes it go at like crack speed now i odnt know why

Most likely they will stick to the normal considering how many returns weve seen for example;
burger shot - SA - image
Satllion - all GTAs - 2nd trailer
Maveric - all GTAs ex3 - 2nd trailer
Sential - All GTAs - 1st trailer

Although I would like to drive through liberty city in a Aston MArtin DB9 I doubt it. But I quite like some of the proper GTA stuff for example VCPR always makes me laugh.

My purchase of gta might be later then I originally wanted, but that has nothing to do with a concern on the game.

I feel it will be truly a golden game but more on the lack of funds.

i know you are probably right, and im not saying any of them look horrible or anything, just nothing that makes me go OMFG!!!!, i just read an article on saints row 2 though in this months game informer and it looks SWEET!!!!, and also there is gonna be a CIA RPG kinda like maas effect i think.

I always thought it was a shame the original saints row never came out on PS3 cos it was supposed to for a while but hopefully SR2 will be even better.

yeah this is why i have both consoles, i dont wanna miss anything good, from the pics the showed the graphics and REALLY jumped and they said the chr customazation, i think thats how you spell it, is gonna be ALOT deeper, more vehicles, more cribs, more weapons, clothes etc. its gonna be saints row on steriods, i just wish i was coming out soon , cause waiting on GTA is KILLING ME!!!!!!!

Well GTAIV is one of my preorders so I'll get it as soon as it comes out.

The good news is the new car physics are supposed to be incredibly awesome in this game.

The GTA games have never been at the head of the pack when it comes to shock and awe graphics although I certainly think what I've seen here shows appreciable progress from the last game, San Andreas.

Where these games' bread and butter have been and hopefully will continue to be is great gameplay and overall depth and texture.
