This movie never made it to regular DVD. They should release it on Blu-Ray. They could market it as first time available on disc. This would be the movie that would cause the population at large to go blu. Howard the Duck would be Blu-Ray's biggest triumph...

There are far worse films available on DVD. This has to be a Lucas decision.

Pretty big cast and big time director, I have this on laserdisc. what can i say i enjoyed it as a kid, Lea Thompson was hot back then.

i would buy howard the duck on blu, actually i just watched it on demand few weeks ago... Ive forgotten how much i enjoyed this movie.

I loved this movie, watched it a zillion times on laserdisc. Totally ridiculous, but so what? That's why I loved it. Lea Thompson is still hot in my book.......

A great Lucas movie from the 80's. And yeah I would buy it on Blu too. I loved it when I was a kid. I doubt it would stand the test of time though.

I always loved this movie (I was 9 when it came out in theaters) and would purchase it on Blu-Ray if someone made it available. I just imported the German DVD a few months ago. It looks pretty good!

I'm wondering if George Lucas is softening his position on HTD, or if Universal is cracking the whip a bit since the movie's just now getting European DVD releases.

Howard the Duck > Short Circut

If they are going to be doing movies like Short Circut, then bring on Howard and the Goonies please k thanx

It has been encoded in HD at some point. I have it on my computer and it looks quite good. Got it off the net.. not sure of it's origin.
