I'm using a PS3 with the latest firmware updates. I'm also using a Sony Grand WEGA HDTV 42" 1080i television (the PS3 plays the Blu-Rays on 1080i as well). I'm using a Phillips HDMI cable, not sure what speeds or anything on the cable. It was $30 at Wal-Mart.
When I play a movie, I notice a lot of fuzziness in the backgrounds. Most noticeable is 300. The film looks sort of grainy, or something to that effect. So my question is: would that be the HDMI cable (I'm sure I just got a cheap one)? Would that be my television or some setting on it? Or would that just be the PS3? By the way, DVDs look fine on it. It's only the Blu-Ray movies that look fuzzy in quality. Movies that are most noticeable are 300, Harry Potter's latest movie, and Momento. |
